If you're energized by people and motivated by results, we'd love to introduce you to something new at Altis. We're welcoming several Business Apprentices to our Sales and Recruitment teams across Toronto, Ottawa and Vancouver. This apprenticeship is a paid, up-to-six-month program built around learning by doing, with coaching and support from experienced professionals every step of the way.
The expectations are high because the opportunity is significant. You'll be given meaningful work from the start, and you'll have a team around you who cares about helping you grow with confidence.
Your days will be active and full of conversations. You'll spend much of your time on the phone with candidates or prospective clients, getting to know them, asking thoughtful questions and building relationships that last well past the first call. You'll write professional, personalized emails that sound like you, and you'll keep your work organized in our applicant tracking system (ATS) and customer relationship management (CRM) platform.
Along the way, you'll learn from recruiters and sales professionals who have spent years in this industry and are excited to share what they know through ongoing coaching and feedback. The role is hybrid, with two or three days a week on-site, so you'll have plenty of time to learn in person alongside your team.
You'll come away from this program with skills that will serve you wherever your career takes you. You'll understand how Canada's labour market and staffing industry work, how business development and sourcing strategies come together and how consultative selling helps build trust. You'll grow your communication and organization skills in a fast-paced professional environment, and you'll have a much clearer sense of whether sales or recruitment is the career you want to pursue.
People who love this kind of work usually have a history of going after things they care about, whether in school, at work, on a sports team, through volunteering or in something they started themselves. They bring a positive attitude, stay resilient when things get challenging and genuinely enjoy connecting with people.
You'll likely feel right at home if you have an interest in business, sales or recruitment, strong written and verbal communication skills in English and a good eye for detail. Most of all, you're someone who likes to learn, ask questions and put feedback into practice.
If the apprenticeship feels like the right next step for both of us, you could have the opportunity to join Altis permanently. If you decide that a different path is calling your name, we'll actively support you in finding your next opportunity. Either way, our goal is to help you build skills that will benefit you throughout your career.
